Really cool! Cant wait to see it in a tank!

What corals (if any) are you planning on having? That will effect how high you want to go, as well as the surface area.

+1 on what harryjsinger said. If you have some rocks higher up you have a wide range of coral placements. Softies on the bottom, lps bottom/mid, and sps mid/high level is the general rule. Can't wait to see it setup! What light do you plan on using?

Yeah i be using the pcs one or two moonlight LEDs not got growing corals. I will be updating it in the near future to an aqua illumination just wanted to save some money for corals and and better filtration.

I wouldnt buy an LPS with the stock lights unless they are at the very top of your tank. The pc bulbs don't put out much light. The AI prime is a very good light which I use over my 29 gallon. I'd say spend money on equipment first then livestock

I like how you planned out the scape before just improving it when the tank is wet! The question is are you happy with it and will enjoy the look everyday since you will be staring at it all the time :)

I would say you are good with stock lights for what you would like to house in the cube. Just watch the temps on those PC lights. I learned the hard way when one of my hammers got bleached and never came back to the original color. Of course upgrading will allow you to keep a vast amount of corals but for now you should be fine.

How should I go about contolling the the tempature?

Is the tank too cold or too warm?

Start off with a nice heater, and then if you can afford it a nano-chiller. Those are freaking expensive though- I would recommend a fan on apex control.

It should be fine but during the summer I would just watch the temp. It seemed that in one of my rooms it was getting warmer than the others in the summer. That is apartment living for you. Just buy a digital thermometer and see how it is during the summer. Should be fine but it just depends on the temp in that room and how cool you run the a/c where you live.

I had a 55g reef. I started out with PC's, I had a huge leather, polyps, mushrooms, it looked awesome and the corals were awesome. I had no temp issues but I also had my tank hoodless.

I later upgraded my lights to t5ho's and I then pretty much had all of the above plus frogspawn, clam, xenia's, brains etc.

Nice scape! I had a tough time keeping my temperature under 80f in my BC29. I eventually went hoodless/rimless. If you are having heat issues you can try upgrading the fans in the hood.
