I SOLD 2 MP10SW...LITERALLY 6 MONTHS OLD TO BUY THIS NEW GYRE FOR MY NEW 3/4" THICK ACRYLIC TANK...

4 WEEKS OF USE RENDERED IT USELESS...CORALVUE HAD TO SEND ME NEW BUSHINGs WHICH ONLY LASTED A WEEK.

THE PLASTIC HOLDING THE FLOW CAGES ON IS WARPING. THIS THIS IS NOT OF QUALITY. COMING FROM A VORTECH TO THIS...NO COMPARASON.

TO TOP IT OFF MARINE DEPOT EXPRESS 60 DAY RETURNS BUT THEY WONT RETURN IT. THEY SAY ALL WARRANTY HAS TO GO THROUGH CORALVUE...SO WHY ADVERTIZE IT?!

BEWARE!!

rant over.

I like the design and what it does when it funtions properly, however I don't beta test products I have to pay for hence I don't own one yet. Sorry for your luck man, this is a trend with a lot of things today, the first model is almost always a "beta"

We just had a thread like this... you definitely described a quality/craftsmanship issue. Get a hold of coralvue, again. Hopefully they'll help you, with a calm, collected tone in your voice

I just sent them an email.

No wonder why they give so many extra parts...the thing falls apart!

My other complaint was it is marketed for a large tank, how ever the controller cable is so short. On my tank the controller just hangs loosly on the back of my tank with no place to mount it. oh, I can BUY a cable extension...pssssh. i just i could mount to the acrylic but that is so tacky, if it for a big tank make the cable to match!

I'll never buy maxspect anything ever again. Cant belive I sold my vortechs to fund this. Holy moly..

Sold all three of my vortechs. I couldn't be happier with the two Gyre pumps. working flawlessly. I've dealt with coralvue and with Ecotech. I think you'll find they are very helpful and stand behind there products. JMO

Never ever buy first generation anything.

I do it all the time, but there's always a risk. Product testing can't simulate real use in numerous situations.
