HALP, Lumia Flickering Issue

My Lumia finally came and I immediately hooked it up to the Meanwell LDD 1000 Drivers and controlled it with a Storm LED controller.

I slowly ramped up the light in manual mode trying not to overheat the chip as I dont have it mounted on the heat sink, I just placed it on top of the heat sink. At 1% the LED turns on, but as I slowly increased the power, the LED will start a slow flicker...like once every half a second.

Anyone got any ideas?

so in other words...everything?

Coralux told me to check the pwm output voltage first so Ill have a try at that first and see if this leads to anything.

Well I'm going to say it's probably the controller.

The PSU is probably fineb since everything is our up in the first place and the LEDs look fine.

Since it appears to be all the channels and ldd drivers tend to fail in more spectacular ways the drivers are likely fine as well.

Yup it was the controller, I tested the lights at "manual mode" since I didnt want to fry the LEDs when they arent mounted on the heat sink. If I briefly turned on the lights in regular operating mode the light fired up without and pulse and flickering.

Right first off, not all the channels on a Lumia can take 1000ma, some are 700ma max the 1000ma LDDs will be over driving those channels.

Second, have you connected the LDD - (ground) in pins to the ground of the controller. With out the controller ground connected to the LDDs the LEDs being powered by the LDDs will only come on dimly and flash.

i am so sorry,I am a newer just to learning,Hope that will be fine.

I think maybe you need to changed the lights or similar as a Voltage stabilizer。。Maybe.

As Blenny have pointed out. The ground on the controller was not connected to the drivers and that seems to be causing the problem.

Everything is fixed and the controller and light is working perfectly now.

Great glad you got it sorted.

While testing and installing my set up I forgot to hook the common ground up a few times and each time I was like 'what the hell is going on why isn't this working?!' lol.

It's easy done and fortunately easy fixed.

Time to kick back and enjoy your hard work.
