Is it normal for my BTA to do this?!?!

I did a 60% water change two days ago, my BTA got pissed off and moved. It reattached itself to the other side of the tank. And now it looks like this. I'm kind of worried that something might be wrong. It doesn't have the bubble tips anymore on the ends of its tentacles and its foot is fully extended! As shown in the picture. Is this normal? If not, what can I do to help. I'm really worried! Thank you.

From what I've read when bubble tips are hungry they loose their bulb bubble shape to stretch their tentacles out fully. They also stretch out when they're not getting enough light.

Has it moved to a shady area? Do you feed it anything and have you fed it recently?

It's moved to an area where there is enough light. It's weird because the New area is closer to the light, as opposed to the old area where it was thriving/bubble shape and lower from the light.

I fed it a 3-4 days ago. I fed it a couple of brine shrimp. It's probably not enough.

Ill try feeding it again and try increasing light exposure to see if there is any change.

Is the full extended foot a problem? It didn't do this in the old/further from light location.

thanks

The extended foot tends to be a reaching for light reaction I believe. Shouldn't be a problem. Just watch it doesn't let it's footing go and get sucked into that wave maker.

How long have you had it? Has it always stuck to the same spot before you did the waterchange? Something must have been off with that water change which pissed the BTA off and caused it to move. It moved because it was trying to get away from whatever it was that it didn't like.

IMO don't change the light settings just yet, let everything settle down 1st and the nem might go back to it's original spot and state. Changing too many variables will just irritate it more.

I've had it for almost a week.

Yea it was doing really well before the water change.

Here's a better picture. Now I'm really worried something is going on because I found a better view of the mouth and it looks like the mouth is protruding? I just fed it and it are the brine shrimp really fast.

Can someone tell me wtf is up with its mouth ?

Hers a picture

Photo looks like a normal feeding reaction to me. Be wary about feeding to much too as the excess food can rot inside it and cause death. What are you water parameters? What levels changed with the latest water Chang? As long as the parameters are in check, you livestock will take care of themselves. Do not fuss over every tiny detail as the changes you make may do more harm than good ( this is of course assuming that all parameters are in order)
