Pieced this Tree together from 8020 parts for My new build,

I may paint the brackets black,

Height is adjustable.

I like the silver brackets- real classy.

Fantastic tree- looks amazing. Better than anything else they sell!

Very nice! Do you mind telling us what parts you got and a rough estimate of the price?!

8020 ebay store, started with 48" 1x2 (1020) vertical with 2 1.88" brackets to mount, then 12" 1020 for horizontal, attached

with 4 hole 90 bracket, centerline is 24" 1x1 (1010) connected with flat plate.

Because these anodized parts are factory cutoff with bare aluminium I also got 1010 black end caps along with

cable tie inserts. $100 shipped

Thanks Man, I dig the top frame that is removable to clean around the glass

Think this will hold a $15lb fixture

Also how did you cut it?

What are the brackets called?

My lamp is 20+lbs and the 1x2 profile only deflected 1/16th

All parts from 8020 store on Ebay No cuts. But aluminium will cut fine with normal carbide blade

Great looking stand.

Thanks. Need to do a post on the build I guess

Just found out that 8020 have a warehouse in Australia :D, hopefully they sell direct to the public and not just wholesale. You have done a fantastic job on the light tree and the stand. The tree is exactly what I was hoping to achieve so hopefully I can get my hands on some of the profile :).

Thanks Mate. Dont know the logistics of Ebay shipping down under. But I also found a local distributor, they just didnt stock the black anodized. I have another design in my head that is dual adjustable arm

Their eBay store doesn't offer freight to Australia I am afraid so I'll have to rely on the local distributor, I'm just hoping they can get the black as well, they only seem to show the silver online. The dual adjustable arm sounds like a nice touch though ;). I'm planning to make the tree fairly tall so I can suspend the light with stainless cord, I feel that's the most painless solution for the height adjustment in my case.

My local distributor said they just had to order the black anodized. I can adjust height on mine either at the mounting point or at the 90 gusset. don't forget the end caps to hide factory cut ends And the twist in cable tie holders are a nice way to finish

Thanks for the tip :). I'll get all the part numbers from eBay before emailing the local distributor. Hopefully it doesn't end up too costly for the freight.
