amphipod
Any idea of what would eat it? or is it harmful like do I need to get it out of my tank immediately? like I've said I'm guessing its some marine fungi, or sponge, this must have some traceable source, you are the case number 3 I have seen, I suggested steelin, number 2 infestation to try an emerald crab, we need to figure out what eats this thing before lots of money is lost in wasted rock in some futile attempt to rid this growth. What all do you have in the tank living?Only damages I see is it grows really quickly and seems offending to corals, keep plucking until we figure out the cure. Link to comment
ndrobey
Can you take the rock out of the tank? If you can, get as much off the rock as possible, then seal over it with superglue. Link to comment
ReefWeeds
It is insane how this white stringy stuff is popping up all over now. Are any of you members of other forums and have you seen it pop up in postings there? Link to comment
