New larger clown added to tank

It's been about 2 hours since the large perc was added to the tank. It's been picking on the smaller one a bit. No biting, but definite chasing into a corner. I know they could be figuring out who the mama is going to be, but unsure.

The smaller one just turns to its side and kind of submits. Any more experienced clownfish owners that can sum this up as figuring out who is boss? Or do I have 2 females?

How long has the original clownfish been alone in the tank and how large is it? Did you introduce the new clown with the lights off?

When introducing a new clown fish to an existing one its recommended to get one smaller than the one you already have so you ensure you aren't getting a female. When I introduced a second clownfish to my existing one it was tiny and he got bullied the first couple days. Most of this consisted of bull rushing but very rarely any biting or physical contact. After the initial aggression they have both lived happily every after being hosted by my duncan.

If you had a very young juvenile clown that wasnt alone in the tank for very long then you will most likely be ok.
