DurocShark
This guy appeared this week. I have no idea what it is. It doesn't seem to exist anywhere else in the tank. The zoas are pretty small, less than 1/2" across. Sorry, no bananas for scale. Link to comment
DurocShark
Kenya Coral? I can't find any photos of juvenile kenyas to compare to. Link to comment
amphipod
Touch it, how far in does it retract? Link to comment
markalot
I would guess Kenya or Colt, but still too small. Nice picture! Link to comment
DurocShark
Touch it, how far in does it retract? Very little. The polyps (or whatever they are) retract into what looks like baby hands as the pic shows. They're long and pointy when I'm not poking at it. I would guess Kenya or Colt, but still too small. Nice picture! Thanks. Still playing with the new Micro lens. I like it, but with the D3200 body I have to adjust the exposure way down. I'm guessing because the blue light plays havoc with the metering. Link to comment

amphipod
Darn sorry I can't help you any further than some sort of nephtheidae, but that is not any bit specific. I'm not particularly knowledgeable in those corals I need to read more! Link to comment
DurocShark
It's grown some now... More pink than orange now too. Link to comment

natalia_la_loca
Kenya tree. If it grows much bigger it will shade your zoas. Link to comment
HarryPotter
Kenya tree. If it grows much bigger it will shade your zoas. +1 They grow CRAZY fast and drop branches (and spread). I would reccomend removing it from the Zoas and attaching it somewhere controllable- cool little freebie! BTW which is worse- an orange thing in your Zoas or a zoa in your orange things? DurocShark
Ya know, I wonder if it's a frag or spore off the one I received that was destroyed by the USPS. I threw it in my tank in hopes it would somehow recover. It didn't. That one was more blue, but I wonder... The thing is still tiny (those aren't large zoas). I wonder if it's safe to try to peel it off? Link to comment
