Emerald Crabs

For any reefers who ever wanted one get one. I heard the horror stories but I bought one for my 3 gallon pico anyway. He shares it with two dwarf hermits and a recently added white porcelain crab. He hasn't bothered none of my corals or other crabs. He did eat some hitchiker snails though. He also chased the porcelain crab the first day I put it in,but since left it alone. He stays on one rock and the porcelain on the other. In my opinion keep them well fed and they are awesome.

It's only a matter of time. Crabs are dicks.

Agreed. I have a pom pom that chases and stings my fish and I saw my porcelain grab my yasha by the dorsal fin and it fell off. Took awhile to grow back.

Well so far so good. Hopefully it will stay that way

Don't have any fish. But as long as he doesn't eat my corals he is safe.

Lol I had one, he did fine but got extremely aggressive during feeding i even got it on camera and even though i was sad when he died it was only a matter of before i had to return the little butt XD

All the crabs are still behaving. A fat crab is a happy crab. Butt he kills all my snails I think I might have one left. Thinks he hates them

I'm thinking on adding a small pistol shrimp

He does not hate them...he loves them very much.

I have had one for about 2 months now. Don't see him often but so far is not bothering anything. Stays in the rocks. Or could he be why my purple firefish is gone?

Hard to say mine got real aggressive the day I added the porcelain crab. But now they will eat side by side. He is always hiding now. Can't say all crabs are this way but mine are awesome
