cswan19
I am looking to get a good ATO for my five gallon fluval spec for when I will be out of town for about a month. My sister will be in charge of feeding and cleaning the tank but want to automate the system as much as possible before I leave. I am between two options... The first is the Hydor Smart Level Controller ATO http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/hydor-smart-level-controller-auto-top-off.html I had already looked into this one and was going to make the purchase tonight but saw this other one on BRS. Its called Aqua Gadget Hydrofill ATO http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/auqa-gadget-hydrofill-ato-pump-system-innovative-marine.html Has anyone ever used it before. It looks like it is pretty sleek and I like that there is no float switch. Let me know your thoughts on the two. Link to comment
cromag27
I haven't used one but it looks pretty cool! I use float switches with my apex, but if I didn't, I would give that one a try for sure. Link to comment
Eckozulu
The IM hydro fill you linked is just the pump. The actual ATO controller will cost you another $200. The Tunze 3152 is $106. People have used these for years. Link to comment
smeagol108
I use the hydor smart level with a fluval edge. It works great it its sized with the right pump for your tank. I use a tom aqualifter. Link to comment

I didn't know you could use your apex as an ATO? I still just don't like the idea of float switches though... :/ The IM hydro fill you linked is just the pump. Thats quite a bit. I have looked into the tunze but just really would worry about having float switches. Too many dumb snails lol I use the hydor smart level with a fluval edge.
