Hello everyone!!! before I ask my question I know they are considered a "plague" by most reefers and they should be remove etc etc. But I have a rock my tank that has a colony of them and I like how they look xD.

My question is there is any possible way to contain them in one area other than trimming it? There is a section of the rock that has acans, and they dont seem to grow much in that area, I was thinking about surrounding them with acans, would that actually work?

it might do my xenia cant handle 1 shroom and i think acans are more lethal.

you could separate the rock and when it grows on the sand it is easy to deal with.

I pretty much resort to cutting them back every few weeks or so. I usually end of cutting 10-20 stalks and take them to my local lfs for some in store credit. I think they're pretty cool looking, just need to be maintained. I actually missed a clump when I cut it off and now it's growing in the sand along the back wall of the tank, and starting to spread up the wall.
