I'm thinking of adding 1-2 clown fish maybe a cleaner shrimp is this a good idea? Any other suggestions?

2 clowns in a 10g is considered a pretty high bio-load but it can be done. Just keep up on your water changes. I would try to refrain from additional fish though you can include some unique inverts such as the cleaner shrimp etc.

Good luck!

I have a single clown and goby-shrimp pair seems to be fine. Young pair of clowns wouldn't be bad at all idk so much when mature size with the Bio load. I've seen it done a lot but can't speak from exp. Watch out for the fish police haha!

I've seen a video with a guy running a 6 gallon nano with a tang, pair of clowns, six line and a damsel... like whaaaa??

And his tank was crystal clear + super stocked with corals must have one hell of a filtration set up but all in all its wrong.

Yes you see those systems but they've likely been heavily prepped for filming and they certainly aren't going to last long term. Usually those are just for show and soon after the video the inhabitants are re-distributed to different tanks.

Many high bio-load tanks don't last that long. Usually they're broken down in a year or so for a larger tank or the inhabitants die off. Upgrading is expensive and sometimes a pain though, that's why it's typically not recommended to buy fish thinking that you'll upgrade when the time comes.

I agree, the goby/shrimp pair would also be cool with a single clown.

Im not going to lie I was a bit crazy. I had two clowns a royal gramma, and an ORA Sharknose goby. My nitrates were always at 0, tank was fed daily, no signs of aggression.

That tang was in there for show. He does (or did) keep those clowns in there though. There is another video that shows them spawning in that 6g. No tang at that point and hardly any corals, but the fish looked good. He has videos of a 180g, so maybe those pretty rocks and corals came from or soon after the video went into that 180.
