Nanoreefjoe
Should I add drops of ammonia and then ad doctor tims and wait for the cycle to be compelete? Link to comment
Nstocks
Add one and only first (I added the whole bottle), then dose ammonia. It depends on the rock, though I'm guessing you have dry rock? If so there won't be any bacteria, just decaying matter so to boost the bacteria population you would use one and only. Monitor the ammonia before dosing. http://www.drtimsaquatics.com/resources/fishless-cycling Link to comment

Balix
Cycling mine now. Used a bottle of biospira and dosed with ammonia. Got a nitrite reading within 3 days and zero the day after that. Link to comment
louy99
I started a tank with dry pukani rock (acid washed) live sand and a free half dead damsel fish.... Dumped one and only and I had a 1 day cycle. Link to comment
PDR
I know I'm new here, but I have tried just about every method of fish-in and fishless cycle with freshwater tanks over the past decade and I currently am a fan of the bottled bacteria fish-in soft cycle (dry rock, detox with prime between water changes). No ill effects on the fish, and about a 1 week cycle time. Link to comment
SquishyFishy
All of Dr Tims products are fabulous. I did just what his directions say with the ammonia and his bacteria One and Onlyl. My tank cycled in a week with just rock and has flourished every since. Year old in January 2015. Link to comment
