Thoughts on biopspira

No bacteria in a bottle makes an aquarium instantly safe for fish. However, live nitrifying bacteria cultures can help speed up the establishment of the nitrogen cycle. Personally I prefer DrTim's One and Only.

I would concur with seabass. Biospira is often expired at stores that sell it, and I don't think they've really done the work to show that it works. Dr Tim's is the only product in that category I'd trust. He did his PhD work with a prominent marine microbiologist. HIs reasoning is sound and he has a good amount of data and patents if you want to dig through it all. I don't believe it cycles your tank immediately, making it safe for livestock instantly, however many public aquariums have used him and his supplies to help prepare their tanks for public viewing. Those systems are run by marine scientists and if those scientists trust that scientist, I'm game for his work.

I agree, DR. Tims is the best. I have used it to help cycle a 30g tank and the cycle was done in 5 days. Speeds things up for sure. Another good product to check out is Seachem's Prime and Stability. They both do a great job at speeding up the process of cycling your tank. I highly recommend them!
