Acielot
Veng has the best example of this right now. http://www.nano-reef.com/topic/314780-vengs-20l-new-frag-party/page-232 Link to comment
tbunnelldo
i guess you can just glue the frag plug to the back wall. i am thinking about doing that with my GSP. Link to comment
Slowtwitch
Magnetic frag plugs. Once you get some growth off of the plug you can move it and start another patch. Link to comment

seabass
GSP are probably the most commonly used to do this, because they grow so quickly. You can just place them on the bottom, against the back wall (as they tend to grow up the wall). Although it can sometimes be difficult to contain them to where you want them to be. Link to comment
truepercs
I seen them on bare bottom tank, looks like grass. Once you get them where ya want them i think it would be difficult to keep them from spreading further. Link to comment
SquishyFishy
Most people glue netting or grid of some kind to the back wall so the GSP can attach easier. I have a magnetic frag shelf and trying to get it going with that. Hate cleaning that back wall! Link to comment
NorthGaHillbilly
We've got a Lucky Charms leptastrea growing on the back wall of the wifes tank, its just starting to spread off the plug, once it gets a decent hold Im going to remove the plug so its a smooth coverage. Link to comment
tdannhauser30
whatever you do make sure you start it at the bottom. I did it both with my GSP and Xenia. The only difference is im an idiot and started the xenia a little about halfway up in the middle. So now its grown all the way up to my overflow and has to be trimmed so it doesnt clog it up.... stupid me lol. Link to comment
atrox
Just place the coral next to the glass, it will spread. Link to comment
FlowerMama
Just put an piece of gsp at the bottom, no reason to glue, it will travel up and over. Link to comment
ETCs_Lady
I just started this in both my BC29s. The Anemone tank has GSP on the back. We just glued it on in several spots. We are starting zoas on the back wall of the coral tank. We glued a few rocks on the back wall as ledges. Then placed several different types of zoas on them. We know it'll take a while but we are ok with that. We want tens of different varieties on the back wall. Link to comment
