duganderson
I have a 34 g. red sea with LEDs (med to medium high intensity). I have several LPS, 2 RBTA, some softies (2 leathers, yellow polysps, xenia, etc.), and a few photosynthetic gorgonians. I have medium flow. I have never had success with mushrooms or ricordia in this tank or my previous tank. At times my parameters have been very good and at other times I have not put the time into my tank to keep it as clean and stable as I should. Everything else tends to thrive in my tank but I have not kept things stable enough to keep SPS consistantly. Any ideas how to have more success with shrooms and Ricordia. They are some of my favorite but they tend to not grow or just shrink and eventually disappear. Link to comment
yomon347
You probably have too much light. Shrooms like low, even indirect light in many circumstances. If you are successfully keeping BTA you must have pretty high light. Link to comment
MC5858
I'm no expert but someone once commented if you can't keep mushrooms you have a real problem. I'm sure someone will ask for parameters. I have a MIxed Soft/LPS tank and really have no trouble from my mushrooms, but they are at the very bottom. 30g Hydra 26 @ 14" @40% Link to comment
