reefkeeper17
I recently received a Precision Marine CR622 Calcium Reactor w/ Effluent Chamber. I have the CO2 tank/regulator/bubble counter/pH monitor. The entire system is ready to go. My question is, can I dose for calcium, magnesium, and alkalinity in my reactor? I know the 3 part dosing setups are very popular but I already have this so I would like to use it if possible. Link to comment
cromag27
The reactor should keep your ca and alk in check. you'll have to monitor your mag. you can either dose or add mag media to your reactor. Link to comment

cromag27
Goes in your calcium reactor. http://www.marinedepot.com/Korallen_Zucht_ZEOvit_ZEOmag_Magnesium_Granulate_1kg_Calcium_Reactor_Media-Korallen_Zucht-VX5131-FICRCM-vi.html Link to comment
jestep
I used 2 part + MG to get my levels where I wanted, and then the CaRX keeps them fairly stable once you get your CO2 and drip rate dialed in. Also, depending on the KH and CA ppm of your makeup water you may want to pre-adjust it so you don't drop kh when you do a water change. Link to comment

I have calcium carbonate media I believe, it came used with the reactor I used 2 part + MG to get my levels where I wanted, and then the CaRX keeps them fairly stable once you get your CO2 and drip rate dialed in. Also, I am running a 4 stage RO/DI shouldn't this eliminate the KH/CA from my tap water? I am new so bear with me if this is totally off Link to comment
