This silly frag won't open, its been a week and a bit now since i added it.

s.g 1.0255

dKH 10

NO3 10ppm

PO4 0.0ppm

Ca (380-620) dunno my test kits are messed up but everything seems happy and alk is stable.

Flow is high and random, temp is steady, no tissue recession but no polyp extension either? Everything else including other sticks are happy and loving the tank.

Lost the frag, morning after these photos were taken it had suffered RTN over night and died. I'm starting to think it wasn't healthy when i got it, would like to figure out the root cause still to avoid it in future.

How is flow high and random in that little jar. Or am i not getting the joke?

I do see STN in that 3rd picture. That looks like a deepwater acro which will have little to no polyp extension anyway

I have a return from a cannister filter in the collar (hidden by the rope), the return has been melted and cut in many ways so that I get three many streams of water that fight each other. So the flow is very fast and random near the top and very low near the bottom. it took forever to get just right. But my SPS polyps now wave in a lovely way in the flow.

The base looks like STN, and it could be, but that's how I got the frag, it did not progess one tiny bit until over night it just disappeared.
