Running Both AC70/Media Basket AND Canister filter at the same time?

I've got a Mr. Aqua 22 gallon Long Frameless tank cycled.

 

I've got 20 lbs of live right + crushed coral for sand.

 

Got the AC70 running it right now.

 

Should I get a cheap canister filter and run just filter floss in the canister?

 

While at the same time, running the AC70 with a media basket with chemi-pure and some cheato in a couple of compartments?

 

The canister is mostly just for more volume and flow. Same with the AC70 I suppose.

 

The more the better? Or is one of the two unnecessary?

I wouldn't get the canister filter. A powerhead like a Koralia 420 would be a better purchase.
