Another DIY Biocube 29 fan mod

I live in Texas, and summers are hot. My tank was running about 80.5 during the day, and 78.9 at night with the refugium lights on.

Since I completed this mod, my tank is running 4-5 degrees cooler. Only took half an hour to complete, and around 30.00 in supplies

2 80mm fans, 1 molex ac/dc adapator(2X12v connector plugs), 2.5 circle blade to cut holes out on back lid

I am just waiting on the grills to cover the top to complete the mod

Not hooked up to a sensor as of yet. Have to Bluefish controller, and waiting to see what they add in the means of sensor module.

I am about to add an ATO to the tank next, any suggestions?

If you got an apex you could temp control the fans and hook up ato float switches, and control your lights. then sell the bluefish.

Revive a dead thread to see how this has been holding up? This is the cleanest fan install I have seen. Did you end up getting a grill cover?
