adding more sand to establish tank

Would it be better for me to add dry sand with no bacteria in it or would it not matter if I add more of those live sand? I'm thinking if I add the live sand then I might get amother mini cycle as opposed to just adding regular dry sand. Let me know what every one think.

I'd say you're fine either way. If you go with the dry it will be colonized with bacteria. If you go with Live sand the current bacteria will process the cycle in no time.

I'd personally save the money and go with dry sand. Make sure to rinse the heck out of it first unless you want dust everywhere in the tank.

This right here.

I'd add it on top. stirring up your sand bed is generally not a good idea, unless you're vacuuming it during a water change.
