tds0 Posted April 26, 2015 Share Posted April 26, 2015 I took water from my biocube29 and filled up my 3gal jbj pico tank Only have the frags in the tank no live rock or sand (added the biocube29 chemipure bag to the back of the picos ac70) Will my frags be okay? Couldnt wait another day. My zoas were getting ate alive by nudibranch Link to comment

seabass Posted April 26, 2015 Share Posted April 26, 2015 Looks like i should be good then Not sure if I'd go that far; however, it should be fine if you don't feed or have a death. Using water from a cycled tank doesn't do that much,.as the nitrifying bacteria reside mostly on hard surfaces (like live rock or sand). There will be nitrifying bacteria on the frag plugs/rocks but the surface area is pretty small so it won't be able to handle much ammonia. Link to comment

The zoas seem to be doing better in the pico vs biocube. - My purple zoas still havnt opened after my h202 dip. - lost about 2 polyps so far due to 2 high h202 % ans soaking time I will probably do another dip monday Link to comment
