I just bought a pygmy tuberculated anglerfish from the Diver's Den. I'm getting it wednesday. this is the little bugger (he's only 1 1/2 inches right now):

anybody kept these guys before? any experience/tips?

they seem to be pretty uncommon, but only get 3" so perfect for nano tanks (this one is going into a 10 gallon)

I REALLY wanted to buy that when I saw it on LA. Really glad its going to a N-R tank. I dont know a thing about them, but I'm following along!

I'm sooo nervous about getting him (never had a fish that cost this much) but I HAD to have him when I saw him.

Luckily my live rock for my 40 gallon is cured. I pulled a few pieces to put in the 10 gallon so it would be ready.

I wonder if I should get a protein skimmer to help with the water quality?

I expect youll be fine once you figgure out what he'll eat. Not sure how picky you can expect him to be, but I'd research other anglers, I expect alot of the info would transfer over

I'm hoping that he'll eat frozen, but I'm going to go out and get some guppies (though I know those are not good for them) and some ghost shrimp just in case he's won't eat silversides/shrimp right away.

Id also grab some PE mysis, they are alot larger than other brands, but would still be whole food. I have no real reason to say this, but it seems to me that a whole food would be more likely to work than a piece of shrimp.
