pntbll687 Posted April 23, 2015 Share Posted April 23, 2015 We lost our original yellow assessor about two weeks ago. Don't know what it was, maybe old age. Waited a week to see if anything else got sick in the tank, nothing happened. Picked up another yellow assessor from petco for $35. He was out and about the first day all day long and eating. Now I only see him in the morning before the lights come on, usually when theres a little sun shining in the tank from outside. The original assessor was out and about all the time, just wondering if this is normal for them to hide for most of the day? Link to comment

pntbll687 Posted April 23, 2015 Author Share Posted April 23, 2015 25g cube. others are 2 stubby clowns, watchman goby, two spot bleny, cleaner wrasse, and a black and gold blenny (believe it was labeled a dartfish when sold). Also have an arrow crab, cleaner shrimp as sizeable inverts. No fights that I have seen, the tank is surprisingly peaceful. The assessor eats plenty when I spot feed my corals, he'll pick off the scraps that don't hold on. I was just worried because he was out the first day or so, and now he's hiding all the time. Halo_003 Posted May 2, 2015 Share Posted May 2, 2015 I hate to say, but a fish died and you thought it might have been some disease so you went to petco to replace it and then didn't QT? Just saying, doesn't seem like the safest approach. A QT tank is a cheap insurance policy. Link to comment
