Polarcollision
Google is letting me down - does anyone know if these exist for standard 1/4" airline tubing? Link to comment

jamescstein
Problem those are designed for 1/4" OD tubing and usually for rigid tubing at that. The 'standard' airline tubing is actually 3/16" ID and can actually be larger than 1/4" OD depending on who you buy it from. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_1_24?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=aquarium+airline+tubing+connectors&sprefix=aquarium+airline+tubing+%2Caps%2C238 Link to comment
Polarcollision
Thanks for the tips you two! I really appreciate it. Marquiseo, would the second link item be similar to what I have on my Spectrapure RODI unit? If so I can just see if the airline tubing fits before buying. Crossing fingers - this might be exactly what I need. http://www.amazon.com/Speedfit-PPSV040808WP-4-Inch-Valve-Start/dp/B003YKF2E2/ref=pd_bxgy_hi_text_z http://www.amazon.com/Connect-Fittings-Reverse-Osmosis-Systems/dp/B008EM52I6 I didn't know which you would prefer with or without ball valve. StevieT
Does it have to be quickly removable? Link to comment
Polarcollision
Does it have to be quickly removable? Somewhat. I will be disconnecting often to clean the hatchery the airline tube is attached to. Idea? Link to comment
Polarcollision
will this work? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007G9I1RW/ref=ox_sc_imb_mini_detail?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3OXQWQJ6RTQRT Link to comment
jamescstein
I don't think it will work. The quick connect fittings need a stiff tube o seal well. You might be able to use a stem to hose barb connector. This one might not be the exact one you want based on the fitting size and the hose size, but the stem goes into the quick connect and the hose obviously goes on the barb. http://www.amazon.com/John-Guest-Reverse-Connector-Drinking/dp/B00EZID8OI/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1430096693&sr=8-6&keywords=stem+to+hose+barb Link to comment
Polarcollision
Yeah, I need something that can disconnect easily. That looks like it is made to be permanently attached Link to comment
