HELP! Thermometer broke in sump

This is urgent, I was pressing my glass thermometer back onto the sump because the suction cup wouldn't stick and I must have pressed too hard because it smashed in my hand. All the fluid from the thermometer went inside the water when it broke and there are little shards of glass in the sump now. Luckily the sump isn't connected to the tank, I was just setting it up so no water went into the main tank. What do I do??? Is the water still safe (I don't have any RO water left because I buy it from the grocery store)? What exactly is in those thermometers?

That sucks man im sorry to hear that. Also sorry that im not experienced enough to helo you, and that no one else seems to be lending much of a hand either. I hope it all works out. Only thing i could think of is run a lot of extra chemical filtration to hopefully get whatever crap you let into the water out.

Well things worked out alright for the tank. I hooked up the sump to the main tank (10 gallons) and added a fully packed bag of carbon with my chemi-pure elite. My corals seem really pissed off right now but I don't actually think its because of the broken thermometer I think its because of the addition of 15 gallons of water to the system. Anyways, the broken thermometer didnt pose any issue to me (other than a few cuts) or the tank :)
