LED Power supply question.

I have 2 Lumia 5.1's that I'm wanting to power with a single power supply. If my math is right I need a power supply that is at least 38V, 7A and 250W. I have a Genssi 48V 7.3 AMP 350W Max Power Supply. My main concern is how close I'm pushing the Amps to the Max.

Lumia 5.1 specs,
Channel 1 - Neutral White (base white spectrum) (36V @ 700mA)
Channel 2 - Royal Blue (base blue spectrum) (36V @ 700mA)
Channel 3 - Hyper Violet (enhanced growth) (38V @ 700mA)
Channel 4 - Deep Red / Turquoise (enhanced color spectrum) (32V @ 700mA)
Channel 5 - True Violet / Cool Blue (enhanced growth and color spectrum) (38V @ 700mA)

If you're using ldd drivers they'll need 42v minimum (the driver consumes about 4v).

The extra voltage that power supply gives will be converted into current with some efficiency lost in the conversion.

That said I think that power supply will be adequate. It has enough power to supply both arrays at max power with some to spare.

Thanks Horerczy. Yes I'm running each Lumia's with 5 Meanwell 700ma ldd's.

If my math is correct, you’re pushing very close to its limits. 38 multiplied by 7 is more than 250. Since your supply has a maximum rating of 250W, it doesn’t mean that you can easily get a constant supply of 250W from it. This represents a maximum limit that can only be reached for a limited amount of time. I’d suggest that you either get a power supply of 350W or keep your required load less than 200W.
