Brown jelly disease

I have a newish tank (as in three months plus new) with newly purchased rock nems, and HAD two new Ricordea Florida. Within two, weeks of adding the rics they started to shrink, and in days they melted. The nems are doing beautifully. The tank, parameters are fine.

Thankful now that I was unable to transfer livestock from my old setup into this one when I wanted to, but now I'm stuck. If it was the brown jelly that I suspect attacked the rics will it be safe to transfer my healthy corals (all lps) from my healthy tank into this new one? I've read that BJS is opportunistic, but will it affect healthy corals if I stress them with a transfer? The rics just melted this past week. Should I wait? How long? I'm really stuck on what to do next, and I need to tear the old tank down because it is sold!

what are your water parameters? i doubt thats the problem, but lets get it out of the way

my guess is the rics didnt like the lighting they were given, they tend to be most fickle about excessive lighting. Ill need pics, but i doubt its BJD

Ammonia and nitrites are zero. Nitrates are > 5. I think I was having some high phosphates (maybe... I only have an API test kit for phosphates, and it's really old) in the weeks before the rics went in because I had a GHA outbreak, but I got that under control. I haven't tested for anything else on this tank. I've been doing water changes once a week with the same RODI water and AquaVitro Salinity salt mix I've always used. Everything, and everyone else looks good....

I have R. Floridas and they're pretty hardy when it comes to water parameters. I once had excessive phosphates but my rics don't care about it too much.

Like Baron said, Floridas are pretty effy when it comes to lighting? What are you using for lights?

Right now I've got a current orbit marine on the tank so I shouldn't think its too high, but it's possible I have the daytime set too long..... ? I've got a nano box on my other tank that I plan on transferring with the livestock. Two healthy rics in there that I've never had issues with.
