I'll just telecommute, thanks

We do have some satellite staffers, but it's definitely the minority of our work force. The majority of our staff all work at MDHQ in Garden Grove, CA.

If we move to CA do we have to bring our own supply of water?

It wouldn't hurt. The governor issue a statewide mandate earlier this month which stipulated we must reduce water use by 25% by 2/28/16. Local water agencies also have to adopt new rate structures, so the penalties of using substantial amounts of water may be high. It isn't yet clear what those rates changes will be for Garden Grove, where we are located.

Aside from the traffic, Southern California (specifically Orange County where we are located) is a wonderful place to live and a hot spot for the hobby. Having this big community of reefers is a blessing. Lots of sharing and trading; plus aquarium-related events are always well-attended.

To clarify, I like the bottom half of this post, not the top....

Although the top half sounds like you guys should start tapping the ocean and carry the MD line of NSW, and bottom half confirms there is likely demand ;)
