Hi, after adding some more live rock to finish my display I noticed something crouching in one of the holes, over the last few weeks it's opened and and seems to have grown in terms of numbers of "polyps" and their size..from my multiple searches and limited knowledge I have cone up with a closest match of a so called palm tree polyp, can any one help pin the identification?

I take it back, they are just very boring coloured clove polyps. Get them some more light, they may colour up, i doubt it though.

Thanks they are right at the bottom of the tank in pretty low flow area (in respect of dead spots I guess this is the closest to one) I assume I should lift them up to mid tank and from what I read into a stronger flow area?

Thanks for your help.

Depends on your lighting, they prefer a moderate light. From the photos I'd say your lighting is on the lower side so yeah i'd move them up a bit. But they are fairly hardy coral and will be happy almost anywhere, its just they will grow better higher up.

They are like weeds. They will spread everywhere eventually. I won't have them anymore as they will crowd out everything.

The are cool though, i do like thte looks of them.

Thanks again, so the the next and final Q, how do I get it off its current rock? And attach to a new one?

take the rock it is on and set it next to the rock you want it to move to and it will spread over. Eventually you will be fragging this and taking it to your local fish store to trade in for some store credit.
