tetraodon
i was cutting the bottom off an ORA plug that had my acro attached, by accident i grabbed the tip and part of the base, now those parts are turning white and the whole acro looks pissed, am i going to loose the frag? is there anything i can do? VW_TDI_02
I would wait it out. You have to touch them eventually and obviously they won't like it but the frag should still get better. How long has it been? Link to comment

VW_TDI_02
Waiting is definitely your best bet. I doubt a species would survive very long if it died whenever it was touched. Link to comment

tetraodon
i have an update, on my acro, it seams to be a little worse than before, the middle area in the picture has lost its tissue, though the tip is better, i know i should dip, all i have is iodine Link to comment
Bingo1213
Can you see any visible pests on the acro? Possibly flatworms or nudibranchs? Also what are you water parameters? Lighting and flow information would be great as well! Link to comment
tetraodon
no visible pests, my temp is 77, alk; 9 calc; 430 mag;1340. nitrate, nitrite, ammonia, all zero. phos is zero on api test kit. ph is 8. the light is 2 reef breeder value fixtures 7 inches about the water. i have a pls-50 skimmer, a biopellet reactor, and two jebao wave makers, the smallest ones they have plus my sicce 2.0 return pump. i super glued the receding edges cause i noticed it was alot bigger on the underside. yomon347
API phos test kit is too high range for reef and especially SPS tanks, it's more for planted FW tanks. I would recommend a low range test kit like Salifert brand. Link to comment

NorthGaHillbilly
thanks, ill keep that in mind, wasnt trying to be an ass BTW, I just know I forget about amazon sometimes, and if you have prime its a good option especially as opposed to waiting till you get up to the $100+ for free shipping at an online reef-retailer.
