I really like Than's take on live sales. For those who haven't seen them, he live streams video on Youtube and has a Google chat going on with everyone watching. It is pretty fun to get real time questions answered about the corals you are buying.

I was able to participate the entire time. It was great! If anything, it is very informative. I watched a couple of the recorded shows--totally worth it.

 

I didn't buy anything though. There was one or two $15 frags I wanted, but didn't want to take the $40 shipping hit for $30 in coral. I wish they had a few more high dollar frags/colonies.

 

I look forward to the next one on May 2!

Thnanks for watching! We did a good job this time around with the quality (i hope). I changed some of the networking up so it should've been smoother. Anything specific high dollar? or just bigger pieces ?

Quality was excellent on my end. I do have gigabit speed though. Bigger pieces would be great. Some nice fat Acanthastrea lordhowensis for example! To me the $40 shipping is hard to justify for a bunch of small $15-$30 frags. Besides, I don't want to deal with a bunch of frags. One or two nice pieces for say $100 to $150 each or one nice $300 or so colony and the shipping is free.
