New thread time!!
I got this 16g tank really cheap. It's a 16x16x16" cube with a 4" back compartment. I was going to do freshwater with it and have plants.

But screw that lol, here is the infamous cloudy tank shot!

I'm using pure white sand and I'm going to get a shrimp goby pair and maybe a 6 line wrasse or some other small wrasse that needs sand. I'm going to get nassarius snails (or however you spell that) and some other sand dwelling species.
The flow rate is 550lph from the return pump from the back chamber and I will get a koralia nano 900 which will bring me to 1450lph which is 23x turnover. This will be a softie and lps tank and maybe some sps from my big tank.
Any questions? Feel free to ask :)

I added some more sand and piled it up on the back corner of the tank. and i love the way it has turned out, just need the mangroves to grow more to go in the sand :)

Looking good. I kinda like this particular rock pile, its quiet natural looking.

Will you be dosing Mg for the mangroves?

Yeah they are huuuuge Mg drains, they use it to actively transport the salt out of their bodies. They really need Mg dosing if you want them to grow well and want to grow corals too. but Mg dosing is pretty easy and they don't really touch your Ca or alk.

I guess I need to check that Lolol, I got 8 in my big tank and a dose mg anyway because of the sps

Took me over a year of not testing Mg and trying to grow a single mangrove and coral with no hope before I read how much they depend on Mg uptake a few weeks ago, I wondered why my alk was so good lol.
