What is the best way to move mushrooms from live rock? I have blood red Shrooms growing on the back of the tank on my LR.. I'd like to get them to a better spot to see without desrtroying them..

you can't really go wrong, they will grow from almost nothing,

Getting them off the rock:

Take a sharp blade cut them as low to the base as you can.

tbh i often get lazy and where i can i just scrape them off with my finger nail, they can take it.

Propagating (if you want to):

Cut them into 4 or less pieces as through the diameter making sure to give each peice a bit of mouth.

Recovery:

Place a piece directly on rock or a frag plus with a bit of netting over the top held in place with an elastic band or something, they will attach themselves.

Do you or have you ever heard of gluing to plugs?

They slime off the glue. Most soft corals are pretty hard to glue down because of this.

For shrooms, I've had the most success with cutting under the rock their foot is attached on since that'll make gluing far more easier. If that can't be done, putting the shroom in a shot cup with some rubble for a day or two until it naturally attaches is also viable.

I have, but gluing tends to upset them and they don't do as well generally, same as zoas.

They do better tied down with either netting as described above or just an elastic band over them or cotton thread/fishing line.

Shrooms are so fun because of this. Any bit of tissue left behind blossoms into a new schroom!

I put mine on the rock rubble and I cut the bottom of a plastic coke bottle making a 'cage', slit holes in it and pop it over them with a rock on top...works great, then in a week or two take them out and glue the rubble they're on anywhere.

Some have said they use a strawberry 'cage' from the market to go over them.
