How do you feed your reefs when you are away?

I am wondering how others feed their reefs when they are on vacation.

Which feeders are you using and which foods are you substituting for the frozen foods that you would normally use?

Up to 3 days away I just feed heavy for couple days prior to leaving and not worry about it. Any longer and a tank sitter stops by. I hide all the food except for what I portion out for them to add.

How about a stretch like 7 - 10 days?

I use a tool called shipping Jeff

With only clowns, I have gone up to 5 nights without feeding after feeding extremely heavily multiple times per day for the week before and never had a problem. I do this every year when I go to my parents for Christmas and never had a problem.

Whenever I was gone longer, I always had a buddy stop by to feed at least once and make sure my place hasn't burned down.

7-10 days you definitely need someone to stop by once or twice. Give them $50 or a nice bottle of scotch or something - almost any fish person would feed them for that.

7 days would be fine as long as you fed well before leaving, even then a good trick is get dollar store weekly medicine holders and put how much food you need to put in per day in those. easy peasy

Fish can go a long time without eating, plus they can nibble on pods

You don't have a shipping Jeff?
