I figured I was overdue for an update on the tank. Most of my corals have been moved from this tank to my 15 gallon. I have added a couple of acan frags to grow out and combined some zoas onto one plug that I hope will form a colony. The YCG was not eating when I purchased him and I was unable to get him to eat. Sadly after 3 weeks he passed away. I added a Warpaint GCG and a pom pom crab. Everything has been doing well and the tank has been running g for just under 5 months now.

Here are some updated pictures.

Tank has been running for just about 9 months now. Unfortunately after 6 months my GCG jumped while I had the lid off and I didnt notice till it was too late :(. I moved a few frags to my 15 gallon so currently it's a bit on the empty side. Here is a current FTS from my cellphone.

Looking good :). Sorry to hear about your goby :(

Thank you. He had about a 1-2 minute window to make the big leap and being in a hurry I added water, put the lid on, and walked away... I should've know better after my male clown did the same thing a month ago in my 15 gallon.

Never thought about removing the rear acrylic for the chamber to make it a true 3.7 display. If I ever break mine down for any reason I may do that. I haven't seen these back in stores since I grabbed mine. I think it's a hit or miss tank for petco. For the price paid its a pretty darn good platform.

Any update ?

I kinda forgot I had this thread going. Been busy setting up my 25 lagoon. The tank is still going strong, I will add a couple of pictures this weekend!!

I've also been thinking about taking some rock out and adding a few more macroalgaes, making it more of a lagoon style.

I ended up setting up a fluval spec v over the weekend and moved everything over from the 3.7g. This week my lfs will be getting in some mangroves. I plan on using natural sunlight as the main light source. I will monitor the tank over the next week and determine if more than sunlight is needed.

Here is a the tank so far. Everything is doing well. I have the par30 running from 5pm-8pm mainly for my viewing. I just placed the lid with some clear screen for the time being incase my GCG feels like trying to fly, I will be modifying the top once I get the mangrove placed.

Going to be looking for a few frags and Macros to add when I go to the E.O Smith frag farmers market this weekend. Also will be upgrading the return pump and adding a InTank media rack.

I added a few new macros that I picked up from the E.O Smith frag farmers market as well as a gorgonia. Here are some cell phone picks I snapped quickly.

It's been a little while!

I decided to upgrade the spec v to the new Fluval evo 13.5 gallon a couple of months ago. I added a new sand bed and transferred everything over. I had a small diatoms outbreak that cleared up quickly. The only upgrade I have done is replaced the stock pump with the stock pump from my Lagoon 25.
