Chalice Help!

I've had this Miami Huricane chalice for a little over a month now, it was freshly cut when I got it. It's eats when I feed it and I've noticed growth, but I'm kind of worried about the color. I thought it's supposed to be a greenish color base, but mine is blue, and light blue where it's growing. Should I be concerned that I'm frying it?

Blue is a normal color variance for the MH chalice. Yours looks like it is doing very nicely.

Ok, thanks! It's my first chalice so I was just curious and a little worried.

This is a pic of the colony it was fragged from, the colony is very green. Any thoughts?

The chalice just above and to the left of the Miami Hurricane is a true green bodied chalice. In comparing the two you can see blue on the Miami Hurricane with a little hint of some green towards the center. You will be pleased with your choice. They grow fairly quickly and the new eyes will be bright orange with a bright yellow outer ring. Very pretty!

I have a lot of chalices and yours looks good. The spectrum or type of lighting can cause them to change color sometimes. Do you know what lighting they had it under and what are you using for lighting?

I have one that started out slightly bluish. Playing around with the coloration on my VEGA has caused the Chalice to change to a more greenish base color. It is growing and new eyes have appeared so as long as it's healthy, I'm fine with the coloration change.
