A 20L Bio Kitchen Experiment (NEW PICS)

I started with my 55gal discus bb tank and ended up with an empty qt sitting on my counter...beckoning me to get a new fish. I know I am weak and needed to do something with it before disrupting my bioload on my discus tank. SO one day I stumbled across a nano reef and swooned. Went to the LFS on a whim and started Mar 10.

Then of course I upgraded to a 20L a couple months later.

After 1 month of being afraid of my tank due to 1 humungo bristleworm he is now gone.

Step 1) See him ballin outta a small rock

Step 2) Remove rock and drop in freshwater

Step 3) Wait and smile evilly that he is meeting his demise

Step 4) Remove carcas from rock

Step 5) Flush down toilet

I don't mind bristleworms but this dude was too big and stung me before I knew he was in there. RIP dude... sorry boutcha ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Let's talk about a noob and her corals ;)

•So I’ve got a frogspawn. One of the heads is just a stick I think I will cut off if it won’t hurt it.
•White specks? Please help ID? Ball anemone?
•This poor zoa. I will not be purchasing zoas from this place again. Nudis… did a 2nddip and they’re recouping

Monti Cap- I can’t tell what side is the top or how to mount this on the rock

•Candy Cane- I want to get this frag off! Or at least the plug part :/

Wow! Removing frags from plugs was really easy! At least this time. Hopefully they take well to their new bases. This is looking much better and I have a renewed excitement without all that extra **** in the tank.

Been awhile. Lots changed. Upgraded to a 20L. Had to give them clowns more room to swim and more room for more coral!

Haven't had a chance to get a good fts but here's an upside down cleaner shrimp that got added this week.

Lol he's been in that place since I got him a month ago. Fingers crossed he doesn't move but if he does I guess there's gonna be some rescaping.

That's awesome. Glad it decided to live where you wanted to. I rescaped in hopes of mine moving... so it stayed put

I think the secret was the rock I put him on/in. His foot is nicely protected inside of it. The rock is smaller than my fist and when I upgraded from the 10 to the 20 all I did was move the rock with him in it and he still has never left that rock.
