sydbarrett
Hi guys, so im putting together a ~25g nano with a night table stand for beside the bed. Moving back to Canada and am going to miss waking up and being able to go snorkeling. I will however be doing quiet alot of traveling and am going to have to leave the tank for possibly 2 weeks at a time. The objectives of this build is to but together a beautiful quiet tank, with minimal maintenance. The key to doing this i believe is small bioload and using a large sump along with a large refugium and a dsb (5"-6") in the display(I plan on keeping a jawfish so this is a must). The sump/fuge will be bare bottom and full of cheato and some live rock. auto top off and doesing pumps will also be used along with led lighting for the fuge and display a relatively powerfull skimmer will be used and set on a timer where it will be on during the day and off at night. VW_TDI_02
Would definitely look at getting some sort of tank controller. Preferably one that you can access from anywhere. Link to comment
ndrobey
Put some macro algae in it. Link to comment
Bill Nye
Would definitely plumb it with a herbie so it doesn't sound like Niagara Falls. Link to comment
ps2cho
I'd go for an all in one if you really are going to be away for 2 weeks at a time. That way if the return fails its not going to cause a fire or the temperature drop.... Otherwise its going to need a lot of redundancy to make you feel comfortable leaving for that long.
