samuelhorn
Hi! So i just preordered a Red Sea Reefer Nano. (dims: 18" x 18" x 18", 45cm x 45cm x 45cm). I plan on a mixed reef with a wide ranges of corals, two clowns, one goby & shrimp, What will you guys think would be the most suitable lightning between Nanobox mini or Kessil a160w? I value coverage, design, control features and so on. With the Kessil I would go with the Kessil controller, and with Nanobox mini i would go with bluefish right? Thank you! Link to comment
masterbuilder
The problem with LED fixtures is usually not the intensity, its the shadowing. Whatever LED you decide on I suggest at least two clusters to minimize the shadowing problem, like a Radion XR30, Hydra 26/56, Nanobox Duo, etc. Link to comment
gus6464
I would go Hydra 26 on that tank for better coverage. Link to comment
Paleoreef103
Nanobox duo. You're going to want that extra power and coverage. Even if you are adamant about mini vs a kessil, go with the nanobox. Nanoboxes use better LEDs and have a better spectrum. Link to comment
xmas_one
A duo would be ideal on a tank that size. Better spectrum and killer control with the bluefish. Link to comment
SpencerShepard
With the Kessil I would go with the Kessil controller, and with Nanobox mini i would go with bluefish right? FYI, Bluefish is compatible with Kessils or Nanobox. If you wanted a wifi app-based controller for the Kessil, that would be the way to go. Bluefish Mini is the controller that is included with Nanobox fixtures and it is not compatible with Kessils. Link to comment
