CalebD
Hi everybody, after alot of searching and studying I finally pulled the trigger and bought the fusion 10 nano tank. I built a stand for it and got a 60W LED dimmable bue and white light for it. Man its bright! lol I only turn the white on 1/4 of way and blue about 1/2 way. I started with 7lbs of Marco rock and 10 lbs of live sand from caribsea. Keeping it stock for now and see how it goes. Here are pics with hardscape no sand or water. Link to comment
Smithjm5
Looks cool! I like the scape too. Link to comment
CalebD
Thanks, now to wait for cycle. Thinking about getting some denitrifying bacteria to jump start. Have to go to LFS and ask about it. Anyone have experience using it? Link to comment
aviator300
"Bio Spira" by Instant ocean works wonders for me. I use it on every tank i start. Add it per instructions and also add an ammonia source to feed it (i use liquid Ammonia drops) and my dry rock tanks fully cycle within 1 to 2 weeks. Link to comment
CalebD
Here are couple more pics with tank filled and sand added. Will probably add a little more rock later. Link to comment
CalebD
Here are updated photos of tank. I added couple lbs of rock and redid the hardscape a little. Tell me what you think. Any suggestions? Link to comment
CalebD
Getting water tested today. Hopefully it has cycled and can add my cuc. Link to comment
CalebD
Water parameters still not quite cycled. So have to wait little longer to add cuc. I saw a mini brittle star last night on my one piece of live rock, the purple rock in front. Was happy to see some life lol.. Link to comment
CalebD
Well, its been awhile so I'll update some pics. I add some macro algae, 3 hermits and a cleaner shrimp couple weeks ago. Last week added a wall hammer coral and a purple stylopora. They been doing good, look happy lol. So today I got a small frag of red people eater zoas and a small frag of green star polyps. I also installed a Tunze Osmolator ATO. lol got tired of adding water all the time. heres a few pics Link to comment
davidanthony921
Those are really nice frags. Where'd you get them. Expensive? Not to tell you your business but you might want to put the ZOA's towards the bottom and the stylo up top IMHO. Looks great though. Good luck! Link to comment
CalebD
Thanks david! I took your advice and move the stylopora up top and zoa down. Got a few rock nems too! And today I got 2 sexy shrimp. They are acclimating now. Here's my first two nems. I will post pics of new sexy shrimp and nem after it settles in Link to comment
