dadummy
hey there, From the advice of the fine people in these forums, I recently swapped out four CW LED for a couple of Vero 10 WW and a couple Lime. I am amazed at how nice the tank looks, colors are more realistic. For instance the only fish in the tank is a yellow Assessor and it now looks yellow instead of a dark shadow. The blue around the eye of the fish can clearly be seen. The bubble algae looks great as well lol. I was running 4 XP-G CW and 2 XP-E RB at 350ma along with four 420NM UV, 3 XP-E Blue, 6 XP-E RB at 700ma. I swapped out the CW with the Vero and Lime. thanks guys 0318151818-01 by daddeee, on Flickr Link to comment
jedimasterben
Its amazing the difference the extra spectra provides, most people don't realize the impact it has on the little things like the blue of the fish. Link to comment
dadummy
yea man, you got me sold. I will be adding some to the RB arrays on a 150g. Messed around with a scrap heat sink and a 300ma driver. Looks like three of each, Vero and Lime will do the trick. May go with the 97 CRI this time, and throw in a few NW to mess around with, thanks for the help Link to comment
blasterman
Yeah, the added warmth of the Veros (or any high caliber LED that's 4000k or lower) really, really makes a difference. Link to comment
