Dlc27
I'm sorry this picture is the best I can do. It's in an akward spot. Can anybody tell me what these white spots are at the bottom of the rocks? These are the only two places I've noticed. Rotten food? Fungus? Link to comment
amphipod
That is either a bacterial film or fungus Touch it, is it slimy Link to comment
Dlc27
That is either a bacterial film or fungusTouch it, is it slimy Yes. Maybe from uneaten food? I had put some mysis in before a cleanup crew back during the cycle. It's in a difficult to spot place, so maybe it's been there since then? Link to comment
amphipod
It seems rather new, how long ago would the food have been there? Link to comment
Dlc27
The clean up crew has been three weeks or so.... I guess it could be fresher than that though. I went light on the crew this time, afraid reefcleaners would send waaaay to many. Haven't yet moved my crabs in. Just siphon it out ASAP? Link to comment
amphipod
Leave it or siphon it it won't hurt anything, the fungi and bacteria already dwell in your tank and are a normal part of the environment. Link to comment
Dlc27
Good. I'll just leave it alone then. Thanks for the input! Link to comment
