fluxuploll
Hey guys, Got this weird type of algae in my tank. The algae seems to have grown in the rock so it was really ahrd to pick out. The white stuff is hard, like calcium buildup or something. It started as a small patch, but now there are like 10 different patches all around the tank ! Anyone know what it is and how to get rid of it? Link to comment

ndrobey
If you can remove the rock it is on, take the rock out, get as much off as you can, wash it good with hydrogen peroxide, rinse the rock with RO water, then cover the area the algae was on with super glue to seal the rock and prevent regrowth. Then put the rock back in the tank. Link to comment

It is not a nussiance algae per say. Pull the rock. pull as much off as you can, then treat with peroxide. Link to comment
