major green hair algea in my tank all parameters are great exempt for phosphates I current have a fluval c3 filtration with chemi pure elite but my phos is at 5 ish. And I have a 5.5 gallon aquarium and only one scooter blenny 6 Margarita snails and a crud ton of zoanthids and a mushroom. Salinity 1.024. I don't dose I do 2 cups of fresh saltwater change a day. I also have 2 hermit crabs.

Your phosphates are ridiculous dude. Normal ocean level is 0.005 ppm (1,000x less than what you are at now). Get a phosphate adsorber and bring your levels down to at least 0.05

Are you sure it's 5ppm? That's insanely high if it is.

 

What sort of rock did you start off with? Sometimes dry rock can initially leach out a lot of phosphates.

 

Also, I think you might want to reduce your nutrients by removing the dragonet since they have heavy bioloads.

Where is the water coming from and how much do you feed? Do you add anything else to the tank at all?

My waters coming from the lfs ro water and I don't dose at all and only feed the tiny little frozen white shrimp about 1/2 cube a week
