KuyasNanoReef
Hey Nano Reefers!! So I just had a quick question..... As my tank cycles and is getting closer, and closer to the day where I can add my first clownfish, its hard not to go scope out some possible species for the future. So my question is, can I mix two different types of clownfish? I've heard you can't mix two clownfish of two totally different types such as a Clarkii and an Ocellaris, but can you mix two different types of Ocellaris such as a Black Ice Snowflake and a Black and White Ocellaris? I hope you guys can figure out what I'm saying PS: I am also starting a tank journal for the public to add too so if you guys and gals are interested in following and possibly adding your 2 cents, heres the link: http://www.nano-reef.com/topic/359045-tankprofile-kuyas-nano-tank-journey/?p=4984811 Link to comment
Eckozulu
Hey jordan, in a Fluval 5g, I wouldn't put 2 clowns in. I tried before, and they quickly got to big for the tank. Link to comment
Cencalfishguy56
You can mix the oscellaris but like previously stated it would be tough in a 5 gallon but can be done Link to comment
porkchop-rob
Yes, you can mix any two oscellaris you want. I do NOT recommend doing so in a 5 gallon tank. I have a single clown in my 4 gallon....and he wont be a long term occupant. Just too small. I just checked out your tank profile. Its looking good! Link to comment
