CCXGT
Just had this Torch shipped and it's been in the tank about 5 minutes. Does this look like anything to be worried about? Thanks. Link to comment
smeagol108
give it some time. after shipping it will be stressed and would be receded as you have shown. Has it opened up yet? Link to comment

Yeah, it's nice and flowy as of now. My next question is does it matter if the current is pushing it one way constantly? I have it on the far left of the tank and the flow is always going to the right. Link to comment
smeagol108
I am no expert, but i think this should be ok. Normally torches/euphyllias like lower movement/flow. I try to have my hammers in just enough to make the sway slowly. I would say if it is out and about to leave it be for now unles syou start noticing an issue. with it being so new to the tank still any moving around will stress it out more and slow the acclimation process. GHill762
looks fine, if that's 5 min after putting it in the tank there is nothing wrong, it's just a little pissed from shipping/handling.. they'll also look like that at night sometimes, so no need to freak out as long as it normally looks healthy and extended. as for flow, torches don't seem to care that much, you don't want violent laminar flow that looks like it's stressing the coral, but for the most part even if it's going in one direction the coral should be fine with it. give it a few days and if the torch looks happy leave it how it is. CCXGT
Yeah.. It looks fine for now, it's completely flowing to the right but it's pretty gentle. I'm not sure where it'll end up but for now, this is fine for me. Link to comment
