Skimmer decisions

Hi all, this will be my first venture into nano tanks so please forgive me!

The tank will be an 18" cube (25g) the sump is an 18"Lx11"Wx12"H, running at about 7". It will be barebottom and running some elements of zeovit, mostly basics to start with.

I have thought about DIYing a beckett (I've been using a KZ Revolution M on the tank I was forced to shut down.) I have a couple skimmer bodies laying around; MarineSources RDC-850, bubble magus c3.5. The pumps I have to use are eheim 1260, aquabee 2000(non pressure), red devil d2000(basically same as an aquabee.)

The BM C3.5 body looks rather small, the RDC-850 looks alright but will leave no room for baffles. I could recirculate the 850 but worry it is overkill.

The other option is to buy new, CoralBox d300 DC1200 (the dc pump and only 180l/h air worries me.) or a bubble magus curve5. I'm not the biggest fan of pinwheels but fear the DIY could be a bit of a fail.

What are your guys opinions?
