Anyone with a 40in+ Tall DIY stand?

Most of the prefabbed stands are at 36 inches tall and I'm looking for something a bit taller and was looking for something around 40-48in range. Anyone made one that high? Any precautions in making one that tall? I'm in the processing of getting ready for a IM Fusion 30L tank and would like the tank to be about 60in (5 ft) from bottom to the top of the tank.

I'm going to be making mine this upcoming week and it stands 40.75" tall and 48" from left to right. The finalish design is on the second page and I'm still going to tweak it a bit but the general idea is there. Still not sure about doors and shelves though.

Anyone else with input before I start? I'm thinking 44in for the height of the stand.

How wide are you planning on making it?

The stand will be 44in tall x 40in wide (side to side) x 18in deep (front to back). The dimension of the IM 30L is 36in Length x 15in deep x 11in height. I'm making the stand a bit wider (4in extra on the sides) and 1.5in deeper. Basically I am following Chief Reefer's stand as a guide:

Should be fine. I built mine at 36"Lx42"Hx10"D. Perfectly stable, no issues.

Agreed, you should be fine. I'm not a big fan of the doors though. They look fantastic but the stand would prevent anything from being next to it in order to open it.
