WibblyPig
Yesterday while at the store picking up a couple of pieces of rock I spied with my little eye a small orange fish that almost looked like some kind of angel in their nano that was sitting on the front counter. I asked the man behind the counter what it was and he told me a naked clownfish. It's absolutely beautiful - a regular ocellaris clown with no bars. Pure, deep orange with the fins and tails turning black on the edges. I thought I would do a little research today and instead of typing in "naked clownfish" I simply typed "naked clown" Do NOT do a GIS with the phrase "naked clown". Now please excuse me while I go and bandsaw part of my brain out and use a gallon of eye bleach. Link to comment
afyounie
I've seen these at my LFS. Don't really care for them much. Though I like the natural looking clownfish. The naked clownfish are also really expensive. As for your google search, make sure to clear your browser history. Don't want anyone seeing that you have been looking at "naked clowns". Might raise suspicions. Link to comment
Sancho
There is a pair at my LFS. I have tried a few time to buy them. They are in their DT and they wont pull them out. He ordered some more but they are not as pretty as the ones in his DT. As for "designer clownfish" $39 each is not expensive. http://www.barrierreefaquariums.com/productcart/pc/ORA-Naked-Ocellaris-Clown-434p9742.htm Link to comment

Benny314
I take it safe search isn't setup in your browser lol. I have to say I'm not a fan of any of these 'designer' clown fish. Most just look a mess to me, although I imaged totally orange with black fin tips could be quite special. I have a fire tomato (what she was sold as maybe a cinnamon not 100% sure) and she's stunning, single white bar behind the eyes over the gill with a blue florescence and beautiful dark almost black body fading to bright burnt orange nose and fins tipped with black. Anyone got any naked clownfish pictures, not pornographic clowns? I ask as I'm at work and don't want to get fired for googleing anything dodgy hahahahahaha. Link to comment
WibblyPig
As I'm self employed, I don't have to worry about browser history, safe search, etc. Just the horrible dreams to come... Link to comment
SeventyTimes7
I too recently learned of The naked clown. I also fell in love, they are stunning. A lot of people don't like designer clowns, not me. I'm a big fan. Link to comment
1.0reef
Naked clowns are cool because you can really see their anatomy/body shape without the contrasting stripes. Link to comment
